2024 BMW i5 Trims
BMW offers the BMW i5 in two trims: the BMW eDrive40, and the BMW M60 xDrive.
The BMW eDrive40 has a single 84.3-kilowatt battery under its floorboards. The 335 horsepower battery powers the rear wheels, obtaining a 295-mile single-charge driving range.
The BMW M60 xDrive, a sportier trim, contains two battery packs making 590 horsepower.
The BMW M60 xDrive accelerates to 60 mph in roughly 3.7 seconds. Its racing car features give it major appeal among speed enthusiasts. Those features include:
- Rear-wheel steering
- Wider tires (than the eDrive40 trim)
- Anti-roll bars
- Sport-tuned suspension
2024 BMW i5 Safety and Tech Features
As expected, the BMW i5 has top-level tech and driver assist features. A large 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen dominate the dash. The infotainment system runs on the iDrive 8.5 interface, supporting Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay™, and in-dash navigation.
